1. The Reference and Its Role
Yuba City Residents Directory is a privately operated reference about public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections connected with Yuba City, California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a public office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the pages and linked resources only in a lawful way. You may not use information found through them to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)

3. No Consumer Reports

6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the reference or a linked resource, including an action taken from information found there.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.
8. Site Materials
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is welcome. Republishing complete pages or copying the material systematically is not permitted.
9. Revisions
A new version may be posted here when these terms change. Use after the revised text appears means that the change is accepted.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the pages, at the operators’ discretion and without advance notice.
11. California Law
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 through 7931.000, governs access to existing records held by California public agencies; it does not turn this private reference into a custodian or require an agency to create a custom list. California consumer-privacy duties may also arise under Civil Code §§1798.100 et seq., subject to their terms and exceptions.
12. Severability
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
